I am pleased to offer from my private collection this rare antique Great War WWI military Imperial Tsar’s Era pilot’s Memento Mori gold plated silver skull ring c1917. The ring has been awarded to an officer from the Imperial 31th Fighter avio Detachment regiment. The skull head was the official symbol of 31th Avio Regiment. The ring is engraved “31 A.O. 7th Feb 1917”. The ring has been awarded only one month before the Communist Revolution to begin in March 1917 and the fall of Tsar.
The ring is hallmarked with the 84 hallmark.
