I am pleased to offer from my private collection this very rare and highly collectible antique French Ormolu Gilt Bronze(bronze-dore) Verge Fusee clock c1770’s. The clock depicting an Easter Egg standing on a huge Snake figurine. The egg is decorated with Labradorite Cabochon cut semi-precious hard stones. The egg opens to reveal the clock dial. The dial depicting a Memento Mori Hermetic Skeleton holding the Moon and the Sun in his hands. Around the skeleton is the Ouroboros eternal snake.

High grade fire gilt full plate verge fusee movement,entirely hand made and hand finished by the master. Hand engraved and pierced balance cock.

The clock is in perfect working order(do not expect precision time keeping from 250 years old verge movement. A matching key included. 95mm high It comes with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY
