This fine example features a striking enamel dial depicting a Grim Reaper skull with raven, surrounded by the Latin motto “Memento Mori” (“Remember you must die”). Above the inscription sits a small crown motif.
The watch is key-wound and key-set, with a beautifully hand-engraved gilt movement. The dust cover is inscribed “G. Hartig – Gera”, indicating the original watchmaker/retailer in Gera, Germany.
The silver case is decoratively engraved with floral motifs and comes with its antique silver chain and winding key, making this a complete and original set.
