Antique 1850 French Silver Pocket Watch – Occultist Dial Depicting Baphomet

An exceptionally rare mid-19th century French silver pocket watch featuring an extraordinary occultist dial depicting Baphomet. Crafted circa 1850, this unique timepiece combines fine horology with esoteric symbolism, making it a remarkable collector’s item.

The enamel dial depicting the image of Baphomet, the enigmatic occult figure associated with mysticism, secret societies, and esoteric traditions. Watches of this nature were produced in very small numbers for free-thinkers, intellectual circles, and occult-minded collectors in 19th century Europe, often linked with the rise of Romanticism, Freemasonry, and early occult revival movements.

The movement is beautifully skeletonized and hand-engraved with floral scrollwork, exposing the intricate gears and blued screws.
