The watch combines classic Swiss or French horological craftsmanship with Hebrew numerals, making it a particularly scarce piece—likely made for the Jewish market in Eastern Europe or the Ottoman Empire. Dial & Features: • Double-scale enamel dial with black Arabic numerals and red Hebrew letters (Aleph to Yod), used for hours in a clockwise layout. • Beautifully ornate, gold-tone Louis XV-style hands. • Sub-seconds dial at 6 o’clock with matching ornate pointer. • Gilded dots and diamond-shaped hour markers surround the perimeter. Case: • Silver-tone metal case with detailed floral engraving on the back. • Inner cuvette inscribed Remontoir Cylindre 10 Rubis, indicating a stem-wind movement with 10 jewels. • Case number: 87339. • Features early Continental hallmarks and a winged heraldic emblem, likely from a Central or Eastern European region.
