The enamel dial features superbly detailed portraits of Tsar Alexander II and his consort Empress Maria, rendered in a central photographic medallion. Elegant Roman numerals circle the outer edge, framing the display in a classical style. The original gilt hands are finely worked and set with diamond accents, adding an extraordinary touch of opulence and refinement. The outer case is richly engine-turned, with a crisp guilloché finish to the front and a magnificent raised imperial double-headed eagle on the reverse—marking this as a prestigious cabinet-issued award. The watch is powered by a high-grade key-wind movement by Desmonard, featuring 15 rubies and Breguet hairspring, all in excellent mechanical condition. Inside the case, Swiss silver hallmarks confirm the .875 silver purity, with maker’s mark R. Picard, Chaux-de-Fonds.
