I am pleased to offer from my private collection this extremely rare and highly collectible antique Imperial Tsar’s Era Faberge 14k solid gold and silver hatched baby chicken in a basket pendant fob in original Easter egg shaped wooden presentation box, c1890’s. The chicken is decorated with Diamonds in the eyes. Hallmarked with the Imperial 56 standart for 14k gold and with Faberge’s hallmark KF in Cyrillic. 26mm high. Approx 8g heavy The original egg shaped birchwood box is decorated with the personal monogram of Tsar Nicholas II,and signed Faberge. Provenance: The egg has been awarded by Tsar Nicholas II to Countess Anna Bolkonska as an Easter present. The egg comes from her family estate. The Bolkonsky family emigrated from Odessa to Varna city(Bulgaria ) after the Communist revolution c1917.
