I am pleased to offer from my private collection this extremely rare antique WWI German Officer’s Award 18k gold plated silver chronometer Pocket Watch c1914 ,depicting a gold plated silver German medal. The medal shows Duke Albrecht of Württemberg on its front. Since King Wilhelm II had no sons of his own, Albrecht took the position of heir to the throne. He pursued a military career and was considered one of the most capable military leaders in Germany. The back depicts a war scene in which German soldiers storm forward. The inscription describes the war as a “CAMPAIGN AGAINST FRANCE – RUS – ENGLAND, ETC
The watch is made by the famous watch master Jean Girard under the cap of the world most famous watch makers school-“Ecole’d Horlogiere” in Chaux-de-fonds.
