EXTREMELY RARE and one of a kind antique solid silver hand engraved full hunter case Zenith Billodes pocket watch c1890’s in excellent condition! The watch has been supplied to the Ottoman Sultan’s court by K.Serkisoff&Cie,Constantinople.
The watch has a solid silver full hunter case which is entirely hand engraved.
A silver Zenith/Billodes is extremely rare and hard to find in this amazing condition.It has an amazing movement. The watch is in working order. Matching key included !
The watch is very impressive- 48mm in diameter. Fancy enamel hand painted dial with Ottoman numbers. Original hands!!! Original crystal! All the parts original!
This early Zenith watch was produced in very short series also very low number of them was survived and It is absolutely Rare and very hard to find in present days. Zenith was born to a 22 year old named Georges Favre-Jacot. He was one of the first to understand the importance of the inter-changeability of parts for rationalising production, thereby improving precision and reliability of mechanical watches. He grouped together all the different areas and know-how that make up watch making. This, one of the very first true Swiss manufacturing companies was born. BILLODES is other early brand name of the ZENITH watches. 22-year-old Georges-Emile Favre-Bulle founds the “Fabrique des Billodes” in Le Locle in the canton of Neuchatel . Today, the Zenith headquarters’ address is “rue des Billodes.”
