I am pleased to offer from my private collection this important historical antique Empire Tsar’s Era Belle Epoque Faberge silver-topped 14k solid gold jewelled necklace c1880’s,with the original luxury presentation display box.
This amazing masterpiece has been made for the Cabinet of Grand Duchess Olga Konstantinovna.
The necklace is decorated with aprox 2.5ct old Mine Cut Diamonds and natural sea pearls. A lot of sparkles-the diamonds sparkles like crazy! The sparkle of old cut diamonds is deeper and warmer, almost glowing in a way that draws the eye into the stone instead of bouncing the light back out. This makes old cut diamonds star performers in candlelight and other low light settings.
Hallmarked with the Imperial “5 6” hallmark for 14k gold and with Faberge’s initials “K Ф” hallmark. Scratched with the inventory number.
15 grams heavy. The chain is 42cm from end to end. The knot pendant itself is 75mm high.
