Description
Rare Antique Masonic Hebdomas 8-Day Pocket Watch – Sterling Silver (1910) Up for auction is a truly unique piece of horological history: an antique Hebdomas 8-Day pocket watch featuring a custom hand-painted Masonic dial and a hallmarked sterling silver case.

Hebdomas is world-renowned for their “8-day” movements, utilizing an oversized mainspring barrel that allows the watch to run for a full week on a single wind. This specific example is a “double-complication” of sorts—combining a high-grade Swiss movement with rich Freemasonry iconography.

The Dial & Movement Hand-Painted Art: The dial features a stunning array of Masonic symbols, including the Square and Compasses over an open Bible, the columns Jachin and Boaz, a beehive, an hourglass, and a coffin.

Checkerboard Floor: The lower half of the dial depicts the traditional black-and-white tessellated pavement.

Open Heart: The visible escapement at the 6 o’clock position shows the balance wheel in motion, beautifully engraved with floral scrolls.

Wording: Marked “8 TAGE” (German for 8 Days) on the dial.

The Case & Hallmarks Material: Solid .925 Sterling Silver.

Hallmarks: Inside the case back, you will find the London “Leopard’s Head”, the Sterling Lion Passant, and the date letter “P” for 1910.

Maker’s Mark: Includes the “GS” (Stockwell & Co) importer’s mark and the “Hebdomas Registered” trademark.

Reverse: The back of the case features a beautiful engine-turned floral engraving with a vacant shield, ready for a monogram.

Condition Case: In excellent antique condition with a natural patina. No major dents or deep scratches.

Dial: The hand-painted enamel remains vibrant. [Note: Mention if there are any hairline cracks or chips if you see them].

Movement: The movement is marked with Hebdomas’ award medals (Paris 1900, Chicago 1902, Geneva 1896, etc.).

Functionality: [Seller: Insert here if the watch is currently running and keeping time.]
