Antique FABERGE Tsar’s Award Silver Enamel Cigarette Casel-Prince Oldenburgsky

I am pleased to offer from my private collection this one of a kind antique Imperial  Tsar’s Era FABERGÉ heavy silver&enamel cigarette case c1894 in original presentation box. This unique cigarette case has a significant historical value-it has been awarded by Tsar Nicholas II to General-Aide-de-Camp Prince Alexander Petrovich Oldenburgsky. He was the commander of the Imperial Preobrajensky Regiment. The case comes from his family estate. The case was made by FABERGÉ‘s workmaster Alexander Soloviev(the Soloviev brothers-Alexander,Vladimir and Vasily all worked in Faberge’s factory c1890-1917). Hallmarked with his initials hallmark  AC in Cyrillic and with 84 silver hallmark and with the assay office hallmark with the year 1894

The case has a separate match stick vesta compartment and original silk wick.When you light a match stick-you light the end of the silk wick whihc is under the silver cap and this way you use the entire case as a lighter. The wick burns very slow and is wind proof.

The case is decorated with the enamel personal monogram cypher OP in Cyrillic of Prince Oldenburgsky beneath the crown. Also decorated with the ​miniature of the Imperial  Orders of St.Stanislav;St.Anna; St.Andrew The First Called and with the Monomakh’s Cap-the symbol of the Royal Dynasty.
