I am pleased to offer from my private collection this rare Antique French Bronze Owl Figure Verge Fusee Desk Clock c1800’s.
The clock is preserved in excellent condition.
High grade verge fusee fire gilt movement,entirely hand pierced and engraved balance cock,silver regulation disc.
Perfect working order(do not expect a quartz accuracy from 200 years old movement).
Fine enamel dial. Original hands. The heavy bronze figure stands on an Alabaster pedestal base. 30cm high.
It is very heavy-over few kilos so it can be used as a book stoper or paperweight.
