I am pleased to offer from my private collection this rare antique Faberge WWI military pilot’s solid 14k gold ring c1916. Tsar’s Era. The ring is made by Faberge’s workmaster Feodor Afanassiev.
The ring has been awarded to an officer from 19th Fighter avio Detachment “Death or Glory” lieutenant Michail Vorontcov for Bravery. The ring comes from Vorontcov’s family estate.
The ring represent the official emblem of the 19th avio Detachement-a skull,bones,sword and propeller in the middle of the double headed eagle coat of arms.On the top is depicted XIX Roman number(for 19th Detachement). The ring is hallmarked with 56 gold hallmark and with FA initials for Feodor Afanassiev.
Large mens size 10 5.6g heavy. The ring is engraved in Cyrillic: “In Memory,19th Avio Regiment ,7th Feb. 1917”.
