Description
I am pleased to offer from my private collection this exquisite ceremonial cane features a boldly cast lion’s head pommel in finely gilded bronze, adorned with naturalistic detailing and inset with ruby eyes. The craftsmanship showcases exceptional French metalwork of the 19th century, likely intended for high-ranking Masonic rituals or presentations. Below the lion’s head, two distinct Masonic emblems are finely applied to the shaft: • The Square and Compasses, universally recognized as a symbol of Freemasonry. • The All-Seeing Eye within a Radiant Pyramid, a symbol of divine watchfulness and enlightenment, rendered in high relief against a textured pyramidal backdrop. The cane exemplifies the values and iconography of Freemasonry, combining regal symbolism with superb artistry. A rare and commanding artifact, this piece speaks to the power, mystery, and tradition of the Masonic brotherhood. Provenance: Private European Collection Dimensions: 91cm long. Condition: Excellent original surface with light wear consistent with age
