I am pleased to offer from my private collection this Antique Russo-Turkish War era Imperial Russ Army Doctor’s award gilt silver&enamel pocket watch c1877-1878.
The watch has a fine enamel dial depicting a portrait of Tsar Alexander II,with original gold fancy hands. The watch has been awarded to the Imperial Rus army doctor Gregory Fomyn,who won a medal for the Battle of Shipka in Bulgaria c1878. The watch comes from his family estate.
The watch has a fine gilt silver case depicting the Imperial Rus enamelled Red Cross miniature medicine award badge. Perfect working order. High grade movement. The watch comes with a matching key. 47mm
