I am pleased to offer from my private collection this rare antique Imperial Tsar’s era presentation silver&enamel Bautte pocket watch ,specially made for the cabinet of Grand Duke Alexei Alexandrovich c.1890’s.
The watch has a silver full hunter case depicting enamelled personal cypher monogram of Grand Duke Alexei Alexandrovich in the form of letter A and the navy anchor beneath the Romanov’s crown.(Grand Duke Alexei was a navy General-Admiral)
The watch has a fine enamel dial depicting a portrait of Grand Duke Alexei. Original hands. All the parts original.
High grade movement ruby endstone on balance,maximum jewels,Breguet spiral,compensating balace wheel with screwed weights. Perfect working order! The silver case is hallmarked with the Imperial 84 hallmark for silver.
The watch comes with the matching silver chain fob and keys.

Provenance: The watch has been awarded personally by Grand Duke Alexey to the Imperial army Captian Voevikov,who was the commander of the navy Yacht “Strela”. The watch comes from the family estate of Captain Voevikov. His family emigrated to the Bulgarian town Varna after the Communist revolution c.1917.
