The watch has been specially made by one of the most famous watch maker dynasty of Markwick Markham-this company was the official watch supplier to the Ottoman royal Court for over century. This unique watch has been made for the Court of Sultan Abdulhamid I. On the outer case is hand engraved the portrait of the Sultan. 

The watch has a 22k gold plated silver pair cases.

Biography

Clock and watchmakers specialising in export to the Ottoman Empire. The partnership of James Markwick (q.v.), who was Master of the Clockmakers’ Company in 1720, and Robert Markham. Even after the death of the founders the company continued in business under their name with business partnerships associated with the Perigal family, Story, Borrell.
