This central stone is framed by finely channel-set natural calibre-cut rubies and pavé-set diamonds, creating an elegant swirl motif characteristic of Imperial-era craftsmanship. The ring was awarded personally by Tsar Nicholas II to the renowned ballerina Mathilde Kschessinska, one of the most celebrated figures of the Imperial ballet. Kschessinska is also known for her intimate relationship with Nicholas II prior to his marriage. This rare piece is fully hallmarked, and comes in its original red velvet presentation box bearing the Imperial double-headed eagle and royal Tsar’s monogram on the lid, along with the full Fabergé boutique stamp inside.
